Reizen naar India

Safety

Safe, because we know the country from the inside

India is big, busy and sometimes overwhelming. That is exactly why we travel in a small group, with people who are at home there. This is what we concretely do.

What we arrange

01

Family on the ground, day and night

Saurav's family lives in Delhi and the mountains. They are reachable 24 hours a day, speak Hindi and the local languages, and can be on site within the hour if needed.

02

Private transport with a regular driver

No searching for taxis, no haggling. Our own minibus with a driver the family has known for years travels with us the whole trip. We do not drive at night.

03

Hotels we sleep in ourselves

Every night's stay has been done by us or the family. Clean, safely located, and with an owner who knows we are coming.

04

Dutch tour leader along

You are never alone with a language barrier. The tour leader is with the group from Schiphol to Schiphol and handles whatever comes up on the way.

05

Staying reachable

On arrival you get a local SIM card with data. Home can always reach you, and you can reach us.

06

Food and drink

Filtered drinking water on the bus, restaurants we know and the home dinner with the family. We know where you can safely eat from the street and where not.

07

Small groups

At most 12 to 14 travellers. Everyone is visible, nobody gets lost, and the pace adapts to the group.

08

Women and solo travellers

My wife travels along. Solo travelling women share a room with another woman and can always turn to her.

Preparation and health

  • Briefing evening in Friesland (or online) with the whole group, well before departure.
  • Advice on vaccinations and the appointment with the GGD (public health service), with enough time.
  • Travel and cancellation insurance with worldwide cover is mandatory; we check it before departure.
  • A first-aid kit and a list of hospitals per stage travel with the tour leader.
  • We monitor the travel advice of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and adjust the route if needed.

Our promise

If something happens, big or small, we solve it. Not through a call centre, but through people you know who are on the spot. That is the reason we do this the way we do.
